Blue sets are now given for free for returning/new players. After doing some activities you can have them permanently.
You can still make some money on it but don't expect much. I'd say a few gold a piece, a bit more per helmet.
If you want to make money there are plenty options :
1. Best one - simply level up and kill stronger and stronger monsters
2. Gather resources / run recipes from secondary jobs & sell them
3. Actively participate in events - plenty of free stuff to claim regularly
4. Buy battle pass & complete quests - always good deals there
5. Play with market, buy cheap sell more expensive
6. Also you can buy diamonds & sell certifcates for gold during event
7. Mount hunting - start at berona tiger, get more money, get stronger mounts -> kill stronger monsters = get more money (boring and timetaking but kinda ok for low levels)

9. https://warofdragons.com/info/news/?show=news&id=7205 - buy manuscripts & IOUs and sell them with profit on the market
10. Keep eye on events like trading journey, seasonal events (resources can go at high price there)
11. Use fatigue daily in Mystras (level 5 content) - still a few gold daily or even more if you are lucky
