Mr. Tung added that Dong A Bank has proposed a restructuring plan for the State Bank and now submits it to the Government for approval. In particular, the bank advocates self-restructure, and investors who want to participate will work with the State Bank, if approved, will be restructured with DongA Bank.

According to this leader, the special control of East Asia Bank will be lifted when the Government approves the bank's restructuring plan and the plan will be in line with the Law on Amendment and Addition of some Article of the Law on Credit Institutions.

In addition, Mr. Tung reaffirmed that the prosecution of former East Asia Bank leaders was not new. This is just a case of prosecution in the case brought by the end of 2016. "Therefore, this information will not affect the current operation of DongA Bank as well as in the future" he emphasized.
